As you might expect from a quality print provider, Chiltern has a wide range of equipment to ensure all your print needs are met on time and to budget.

Our plant list is split into pre-press, press and post-press and it includes:

Pre-Press

• Macintoshes
• We use Quark/Illustrator/Indesign/Photoshop and all other relevant programmes
• Heidelberg Suprasetter: Processless Computer to plate system
• Epsom 7600 Colour proofer with colour control, calibrated to press
• Close loop link to printing machine

Press

Print (litho) up to sheet size 520 x 740mm on our:

• Speedmaster 74 five-colour printer with Axis Control, temperature-controlled inking system, IR Dryer
• GTO 52 two-colour with numbering and perforating attachments, suitable for envelopes

Print (digital) on our:

• Xeikon 50D digital printing press, web width 500mm producing an image area of up to 470mm wide x up to 11 metres in length, enabling A2 poster printing (prints both sides simultaneously)

Post-press

• Heidelberg Cylinder for cutting and creasing
• Polar Guillotine
• Stahl Folder
• Saddle stitcher, able to loop stitch
• Four-hole drill
• Horizon 24 station collator
• In-house make up and benchwork facilities
